In April 2022, members of the Peruvian IHACC research team traveled to the Nuevo Progreso community for the official delivery of the Shawi Food Book. This activity was coordinated with the authorities of the community. All of the collaborators that helped in the development of the book were invited to the ceremony, including the local health authority, the head of the Ministry of Culture of San Martin region, and the researchers of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia.
